Short Notice :- Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has invited online applications for Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2026 for various Group-B posts in different departments of Uttarakhand Government. A total of 67 vacancies are available under this recruitment. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications up to 29 September 2026. The examination will be conducted through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview/Personality Test as prescribed. Candidates are advised to carefully read the complete official notification before applying.

Eligibility / Qualification Details

Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification for the respective post from a recognized University/Institution established by law in India. For several advertised posts, a Bachelor's Degree is required.

Special educational qualifications are prescribed for certain posts, including:

  • Assistant Director / Accounts Examination Officer – Graduation in Commerce or CA qualification.
  • Deputy Education Officer / Staff Officer / Law Officer – Post Graduation as prescribed.
  • Assistant Labour Commissioner – Graduation with prescribed subjects such as Economics, Sociology, Commerce, Law, Labour Relations, Labour Welfare, Labour Law, Social Work/Welfare, Business Management or Personnel Management.
  • Assistant Director / Deputy Secretary, Sanskrit Education – Post Graduation in Sanskrit or equivalent, with prescribed B.Ed. qualification.
  • Assistant Director, Factory / Boiler – Graduation in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Horticulture Development Officer Grade-II – B.Sc. Agriculture / B.Sc. Agriculture with Horticulture or equivalent qualification.
  • Case Worker – Post Graduation in Sociology / Applied Sociology / Social Work or equivalent qualification as prescribed.
Age Limit Details

Age Calculation Date: 01 July 2026

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years
  • Candidate should not be born after 01 July 2005 and before 02 July 1984.

Age Relaxation:-

  • Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC Candidates: 5 Years
  • Uttarakhand PwD Candidates: 5 Years
  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters: 5 Years
  • Other applicable relaxations: As per Uttarakhand Government rules.

Selection Process: The selection process consists of:

  1. Preliminary Examination – Objective Type
  2. Main Examination – Written/Descriptive
  3. Interview / Personality Test Interview / Personality Test: 150 Marks

Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary Examination consists of General Studies and General Aptitude Test.

  • General Aptitude Test: 100 Questions
  • Maximum Marks: 150
  • Time: 02 Hours

Main Examination includes General Studies and other prescribed papers including:

  • General Studies
  • General Aptitude
  • Indian & World History and Culture
  • Indian & World Geography
  • Indian Polity
  • Economic & Social Development
  • General Science & Technology
  • Ethics, Integrity & Aptitude
  • Knowledge of Uttarakhand State Candidates who qualify the required stages will be considered for the final merit/selection as per the prescribed rules.

No postal admit card will be sent.

Admit cards will be issued online through the Commission's website.
