UPESSC PRT Assistant Teacher 2026: Online Form

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Teacher Primary, Urban Area (Basic Education Department)

• Graduation degree from a recognized university in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.

• Any one of the prescribed teacher-training qualifications, such as BTC, D.El.Ed, D.Ed (Special Education) or other qualifications mentioned in the official notification.

• Must have passed the required Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the State Government or Government of India, as prescribed in the notification.

Assistant Teacher Associated Primary, Boys/Girls (Aided Primary Schools)

• Graduation degree from a recognized university or institution.

• BTC or D.El.Ed qualification from an NCTE-recognized course.

• Must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Classes 1 to 5 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government or Government of India.

• Age Limit as on 01 July 2026:
• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Assistant Teacher Associated Primary in Aided Primary Schools : Maximum Age: 62 Years (Superannuation age).
• OBC / SC / ST candidates of Uttar Pradesh: 5 years relaxation in maximum age.
• PwD candidates of Uttar Pradesh: 15 years relaxation in maximum age.
• Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxation as per notification.
• Shiksha Mitra: Maximum age up to 60 years, subject to applicable conditions.

1. Visit the official website of UPESSC: https://www.upessc.up.gov.in

2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR).

3. Login to the OTR-based online application system.

4. Fill in all required personal, educational and category details carefully.

5. Upload the required photograph, signature and documents in the prescribed format.

6. Pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment method.

7. Review the complete application form and submit it before the last date.

8. Download and save the submitted application form and fee receipt for future reference.

9. Keep copies of the application form ready for the document verification process, if shortlisted.

• The examination will be conducted for both Assistant Teacher Primary Urban Area and Assistant Teacher Associated Primary posts.

• The written examination will consist of 120 objective-type questions carrying a total of 360 marks.

• Each correct answer carries 3 marks.

• There is negative marking of 1 mark for an incorrect or multiple answer.

• The duration of the written examination is 2 hours.

• The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English.

• Candidates must complete OTR before applying online.

• After final submission, changes in category, sub-category, date of birth and gender will not be permitted.

• Candidates must carefully read the official notification before submitting the application.
