Short Notice :- University of Kota, Kota has invited online applications for Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (SET)-2026 for eligibility of Assistant Professor. Online applications will be submitted from 14 June to 15 July 2026. The examination will be conducted on 06 September 2026. There is no upper age limit. Candidates are advised to read the detailed notification before applying.

Application Fee

General / SBC / OBC (Creamy Layer) Rajasthan State & Out of State: ₹1500/-
EWS / SBC / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Rajasthan State: ₹1200/-
SC / ST Rajasthan State & All PwD Candidates: ₹750/-

Eligibility / Qualification Details

General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from a university/institution recognized by UGC. OBC belonging to Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST, PwD and Third Gender candidates must have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination.
Candidates who are pursuing their Master's Degree or candidates whose final year result is awaited may also apply provisionally, subject to fulfilling the prescribed qualification conditions.
Candidates are required to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. Candidates with Master's Degree in Geography with specialization in Population Studies are also eligible to appear in Population Studies.

Examination Pattern:- Paper I: 50 Questions, 100 Marks Paper II: 100 Questions, 200 Marks Total Duration: 03 Hours (180 Minutes) without any break. Each question carries 02 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect responses. The question paper will generally be available in English and Hindi. Language papers will be in the concerned language. The SET certificate is valid for the particular State only and its validity shall be forever.
