Short Notice :-

UPSC has released the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2026 notification for recruitment to various Medical Officer posts. A total of 1358 tentative vacancies are available, including 864 Medical Officers in Central Health Service, 450 Assistant Divisional Medical Officers in Indian Railways, 14 General Duty Medical Officers in NDMC and 30 General Duty Medical Officers Grade-II in MCD. Eligible candidates can apply online from 11 March 2026 to 31 March 2026 up to 6:00 PM. The examination will be conducted on 02 August 2026

Eligibility / Qualification Details
  • Must have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. examination.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the final M.B.B.S. examination and are awaiting results can also apply, provided they produce proof of passing the examination at the time of the Personality Test.

The vacancies are tentative. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed eligibility and physical/medical standards. The examination consists of two objective papers of MBBS standard followed by Personality Test for candidates qualifying in the written examination.
